Different Ways to Use Black Pepper to Lose Weight



You probably never thought that black pepper could actually help you lose weight, but it really can. Turns out, black pepper, also known as the king of spices, can provide a number of health benefits and one of them is weight loss. This low-calorie seasoning is loaded with healthy fats, minerals, vitamins and dietary fiber. According to research, black pepper comprises of piperine, which enhances fat metabolism, prevents fat cells differentiation and boosts the bioavailability of nutrients. Thus, if weight loss is your goal and you wish to improve your digestion, consuming black pepper will do the trick.

But, how do you add it to your daily diet? There are several ways that you can go about it and some of them include:

    1- Gulping or chewing directly 

If you don’t have a problem in tolerating the burning hot flavor of this spice, you can consume at least one to two peppercorns every morning directly. This will certainly give your metabolism a solid boost.

    2- Make black pepper tea

You can prepare tea in a regular way and just add half or one teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper to it before drinking it in breakfast. It is one the easiest ways of getting your daily dose of pepper. 

    3- Sprinkling it over a salad 

You can also opt to use black pepper as seasoning over a vegetable or fruit salad, as per your preference. Not only does it help in adding some extra flavor to the meal, it also helps in weight loss.

    4- Adding it to a beverage 

You can also add a pinch of black pepper to your everyday fruit or vegetable juice. It can go a long way in helping you shed the pounds, boost your immunity and keep your gut healthy. Plus, the distinct taste and pungent smell spices up your drink.
